There’s an ongoing threat of terrorist attacks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, particularly in eastern DRC. Attacks on civilians and government targets occur frequently. Be alert to possible threats, especially in public places. There is a high-risk of kidnapping in the DRC, and express kidnappings targeting foreigners have increased.
