Australians should strongly consider leaving Sudan as soon as possible. There are commercial departure options from Port Sudan and Port Suakin. You may also be able to enter Egypt and other neighbouring countries via land borders. You need valid travel documentation and visas to exit Sudan and enter Saudi Arabia or Egypt. Adopt appropriate personal security measures and remain vigilant. Monitor media and continue to follow our advice on Smartraveller.
